Notice the license type: Windows License Type: OEM SLP
A program can display an OEM SLP (embedded) key but the user can't do anything with it. You can't do what you advise with OEM SLP copies of Windows because they use an embedded key that is not unique. All computers of the same make and model and edition of preinstalled Windows use the same exact embedded product key. Because they are not unique, embedded keys are blocked on the Microsoft activation servers. That is why an embedded key cannot be used to manually activate Windows. The manufacturer provides the COA product key on the label affixed to the computer. It is a unique key and is for manual activation. When the label is unreadable the user can only use the manufacturer's recovery software or purchase a new copy of Windows.

- You can reactivate your Windows 7 installation by performing the following:
1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 3 and click on the icon that appears.
2. Type in your Windows 7 25-character product key that is affixed to your computer.
3. Follow the instructions for phone activation (no charge).

That won't work - the Key found will be the same as the one that is currently failing due to the SLIC table corruption.

First back up your data to external media. The attempt a System Recovery using the inbuilt Recovery software (see your manual for details) - this *may* clear the error at the cost of having to reinstall all your programs, reinstall updates, and recover your dataIf that doesn't work, then try using telephone activation and see if you can sweet-talk an operator into giving you a new Key (some have managed to, and some have not).

There is no KeyFinder utility that will do you any good - your current Key is useless except with the Recovery disks that you get from the manufacturer.
To answer your question, though - use Belarc Advisor www.belarc.com which will find many Keys on your system, and will also find a wealth of other useful information, such as listings of all installed applications, and Windows Updates, as well as useful hardware stuff. (all for free, which is the bit I like best <g>)
