Block ability to delete email attachment. RRS feed

  • When viewing an email that was sent out of CRM it is not possible to change the content of the email, which is what I would expect. However, if you then click on an attachment linked to that email the Remove button is available and the attachment is deleted from the email. This doesn't seem right to me.

    What can be done to stop the ability to remove attachments from sent emails?

  • This is available in CRM 2011. Once the email is sent, the option (ribbon buttons) of adding or removing attachments is not visible.

  • If you would like to see different behavior then please make a suggestion on the Connect site and have it voted for.  I'm not sure there is an easy way to lock down attachments.  There are most likely several ways to make it happen but all will most likely require some level of customization.
