where can I buy windows home server oem 64bit in the UK RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been trying the 30 day trial download of windows home server on 2 computers, an old sony desktop with 1800 athlon processor and a hp proliant ml350 server with xeon processor. Both installed easily and have done everything I have asked of them. The only issue being with the proliant ml350 in that the location of the 3 SAS 74 gig hard drives listed in server storage is listed as unknown. However, the proliant is the preferred system to move forward with as it has a 6 drive cage that will take SAS or SATA hot swap hard drives maximum capacity 6 tb. It is a 64 bit system and hence I want to purchase the 64bit oem version of WHS. Checking Amazon.co.uk and pcworld business they both offer the 32bit system with power pack 1. Can anyone provide info or links to suppliers of WHS 64 bit? Can I purchase it direct from Microsoft? Sorry, if these are easy questions to answer, but you can get fed up of the maze that is the microsoft web site!!

  • There is currently no 64 bit version of Windows Home Server. It's based on SBS 2003 which is 32 bit only.
