  • It is a fraud.  Microsoft has never, and will never hold such a contest or giveaway of any kind whatsoever.  Your email is spam and you should immediately delete it.  Under NO circumstances should you reply to it in anyway.

    In the event that you actually DID win some significant amount of cash through a giveaway, the very LAST way the hosting company would notify you would be email.  They would most likely visit you in person or at the very least send an official notification via Registered Mail which had to be signed for.
