Album art from music folder showing up in Pictures folder on remote website RRS feed

    Well, the title pretty much says it all.  The album cover pics from my music folder are showing up in the pictures folder on the remote website.  The only thing i've tried is turning off the pictures folder for the website, but the album pics are still showing up.  Anyone know how to fix this?

    You can't. The WHS team know about it, but it won't be fixed in the first release.

    We are aware of the particular issue/feature request that you have reported. However, due to circumstances we will not be able to address it in the current release, it will continue to be tracked in our system and we will aim to address it in the near future.

    All I can say is lame.  That list for the next version seems to be pretty big already.  Hope they stick to it.

     This sounds like the problem covered here:

     Hopefully this is the fix you need.

     I had the same issue. I fixed it by removing or renaming non-standard art files in the music folders. WHS 2011 ignores the AlbumArt_{alphanumeric}_Large, AlbumArt_{alphanumeric}_Small, AlbumArtSmall, and Folder.jpg files.

    Well that somewhat worked.  It cut down the pictures from hundreds to 27.  Now even though I deleted the remaining pictures, they still show up.

     I have noticed that WHS 2011 is a little slow updating music and pictures. Hopefully the deleted pictures will be gone in 24 hours. They were for me.

     

     As for the album art, I use Windows Media Player to rip and organize my music. The only time I get the weird album art names is when I get music from someone else.
