Group policy RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi:

    i have a problem here:

i had three DC working and applied a group policy on that environment after while i changed LAN authentication manager value, but after that clients in my domain couldn't be able to change this value and it keeps back to the previous value:

Windows server 2012 R2, client: windows 7 enterprise

    steps taken:

    - applied the new policy and run gpupdate /force (client machine and DC)

    - reboot the machine

    - client was removed from domain and value was deleted from the registry

    - rejoined client to domain

    - i tried to wait for 90 min, when the gpupdate didn't work

would you please advise on this!!

    regards

  • Look at the options for IPCONFIG/?.  You may be able to fix the issue with a renew.  Your LAN may have different levels of admin users so a normal admin may not be able to fix the issue and you will need an admin of the Group Policy Domain to solve the issue.  Sometimes renew takes 24 hour to refresh, but in most cases the updates take 30 minutes ot 1 hour to take effect.
