Question

Hi Tech Friends,
I have Outlook Client for MSCRM 2011 installed. It works fine for live ID MSCRM Online accounts. But when I try to connect to new MSCRM Online accounts which use Office 365, I get below error. My credentials are correct. But it does not connect at all. I have also tried restarting Windows Live Sign In Assistant Service. But it did not help.

I raised Microsoft support request and got it resolved.
For some reason it does not work if we type the Office 365 URL. Instead I had to select "MSCRM Online" option from drop down. With this change it worked.
However, typing URL works for liveid based MSCRM Online instances.

Hi,
Try the following:
1.Install the Microsoft Online Services Sign-in Assistant and try again.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28177
2.On the client machine, please make sure the date/time and time zone is accurate. Time difference no more than 1 minute.
3.Please open IE, go to tools=>internet options=>Security tab=>TrustedSites=>Sites=>Add the following URLs, then try again
https://*.dynamics.com
https://*.live.com
4. If it still failed. Please
- Clean IE cache.
- Clean temp files (using the environment variable %temp%).
- Delete Generic Credential
- In Run, type “control keymgr.dll”.
- Go to Generic Credential, hits on menu drop down, so 'Remove from vault'.
- Repeat steps a. e b. for all generic credentials.

Hi Wilson,
I tried all above steps. Still no change! Live ID based MSCRM online accounts connect perfectly fine. But Office 365 based MSCRM Online accounts dont connect. I still get the same error message. May be I should raise a MS support ticket?

I am using Windows 7 with MSCRM 2011 For Outlook 2010. As stated earlier, I have problem connecting to Office 365 only.
Steps I have tried: Installing Live Assistant latest (link given above), Installing Rollup 11 for Client, restarting services, and other steps mentioned above.
Result: No change so far. It continues to work for LiveId MSCRM Online and does not work for Office 365. The error message is the same.
