desktop icons

Question
-
It amazes me that Microsoft being such a large company with so many computer geniuses on staff---why can't they make it so our desktop icons stay where we put them.
I am running w-10 and every time I go back and forth between user accounts the icons are all over. All I want is for them to stay put.

Hi Sandy12586,
I guess your setting is [Auto arrange icons].
Try this:
1. Right-Click your desktop where no icons exist
2. [View] -- select [Align icons to grid]
