Office Professional Plus 2007 Volume License Downgrade Rights RRS feed

  • Question

  • If a company has "Office Professional Plus 2007" licenses (aquired through volume licensing), and acutally used "Office XP professional with Frontpage", can the "Office 2007" license be downgraded for "Office XP with Frontpage" to use?

I saw Microsoft website has the term "Downgrade rights in the Volume Licensing programs provide customers with the right to downgrade to any prior version of the same product. " however not sure if "with Frontpage" means the same product or a different type of license required? Thanks!

  • Hello Gracietp,

Unfortunately, as your question does not really apply to the Office Genuine Advanatge program, it is off-topic to this forum.

As a general rule of thumb you are correct.  But, Microsoft Licensing can be inscrutable at times, so the best thing to do in your case is to contact the Microsoft Licensing Specialist, or the Authorized Microsoft reseller, from whom your organization purchased its Office 2007 licenses.

    Good Luck!
