Been having a myriad of issues, now windows 7 thinks it's no longer valid either. RRS feed

  • Question

  • My Windows 7 came through my academic institution and is definitely valid, and registered as valid for almost 2 years until I started up today. I've been having lots of other issues lately, so this doesn't entirely surprise me.

  • The mismatches suggest that you need to reinstall the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers.  This can be caused by a recent update.

Download the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers from here:

    http://bit.ly/xmcovN

You’ll need the set for the x64 (64-bit) platform on Win7.

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.

    Good Luck!

  • Appreciate your input. When I attempt to install, I get an error saying my computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installation.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I have neither an Intel processor nor an HP computer. But seeing as how I know very little about these things, I don't know if that matters at all or not.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • The Intel Rapid Storage Drivers are commonly used by all manufacturers.  It has nothing to do with Intel hardware.  Just use the HP link since it performs the best in our experience.  The message you are seeing may only be advisory.  Of course, you can simply search on "Intel Rapid Storage Drivers" and take your pick among the links.
