Microsoft Test Manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • Given that forms in Dynamics CRM can become complicated over time, resulting in inheriting JavaScript libraries of great length, there is a need for us to be able to automate testing such that changes to e.g. one function within the JavaScript do not break something else.

I am not talking about TDD. Rather I am looking for advice on how to use a product such as Microsoft Test Manager to do the following.

    •         Point the product at our PROD or UAT Dynamics CRM
    •         Record the user interaction with the CRM (e.g. for the form associated with the Case entity)
    •         Produce automated test scripts from this recording
    •         Scripts may be stored in Team Foundation Server.
    •         Run the scripts against changes / updates made to the CRM
    •         Ability to edit scripts

Can anybody provide me with a concise way of achieving this please?

    Thanks

    Maz
