Windows Vista Home Premium Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I read a post from Jan. 17, 2010, and am having the same problem they were. When I logon to my screen name I receive an error message informing me that my windows vista is not authorized and I will only have limited capabilities. The only option given is to access the microsoft web site which advises me that my version of vista home premium is not valid eventhough it had worked fine since I purchesed it six months ago with my toshiba laptop. I am not able to access any other screens, sites, or recovery methods.

I can, however, utilize the link that was previously provided to create a report about the issue and message it back using  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/ld=52012 and send it back using the thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/4BE817B8-A931-4418-A20A-4B951805234E. If this is ok, please let me know!

    I appreciate your help.

  • Hello mypieceofrock,

Go ahead and use the MGA Diagnostic Report http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 and paste the report in This thread.

Non-Genuine issue may have a similare Error message but have a different cause and fix. Havng different issues being troubleshooted in the same thread can be confusing. That's why we ask each user to post thier Diagnostic Report into their own thread.

    Thank you,
