    Is this bug every going to be addressed?  This bug was first reported several months ago.  There are 4+ open bugs on connect with no microsoft responses. It still happens constantly.

    The work around is restarting the live mesh remote desktop service or rebooting the pc.  Some bad code was introduced in the remote desktop service a couple months back.  When is microsoft going to fix it or even acknowledge it?  This is really ridiculous.  I have to drive half way across town because not one but two computers are giving me this error when I try to remote in.  If these machines were really "remote" I would be screwed.

    Unfortunately, the error is server side and not a "bug" per se.

    It happens randomly for some people and all the time for others.

    And, unfortunately, I doubt that it will be addressed as the problem really ramped up as the back end went through changes in prep for Wave 4 which has not yet been released to beta.

    When Wave 4 of Windows Live is released, the existing Live Mesh infrastructure will likely be retired, though nothing has been announced yet, nor do we know when Wave 4 will be released.

    The fix being a reboot or restarting the service leads one to believe the bug is client side.  If there is a bug server side causing the rdp service to get into an invalid state there still is an with the service not being able to recover from this invalid state.  What does not a bug per se mean?  Are the live guys booting us or something?

    So basically live mesh is at the end of its life and some other product is going to replace it.  Things has been going some what smooth for like 2 years now.  Sucks it had to break at the end.
