Goal recalculate RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I seem to have a problem with the Goals Management in CRM 2011.

For some reason, the actuals are not updating automatically.

If I click the recalculate button, everything is ok, but I need the goals updated every day.

I checked the settings and the roll-up is set to 24 hours, but I can't even find a system job that tries to update the goals (I thought I would find a failed system job that would give me some extra-information...), but...nothing.

I tried different goal metrics, different users, different periods, but I never get anything updated by the system.

    Any ideas?

Thank you very much in advance,

    Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

If you select the 'view recurring system jobs' view within system jobs, you should see the 'Goal Rollup Job' in there with a 'Next Instance' date/timestamp.

  • Hello Rob,

    I have resolved the issue.

I have changed the status of the systemjob in the asyncoperationbase table. After I made the change, the next instance day changed to the day after the current date. Which is correct. Since then, my goals are updating daily :)

Maybe this information will help others.

I know it's not a supported method but...this was the only solution to my problem.

    Best regards

    Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

If your deployment is on-premise, check that the 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM Asynchronous Processing Service (maintenance)' service is running ok on your crm application server.

  • Hi Rob,

My deployment is on-premise and the service is running.

All the workflows are executing just fine.

    I even restarted the service.

Do you know if I should see a System Job regarding goals?

    Thank you

  • Hello Rob,

I found the Goal Rollup Job but it seems to be stuck on 3/27/2012 (the next instance doesn't change) and the status is "Locked".

I get an error message when trying to resume it.

Now I have to find a way to...kick-start it.

Do you know what my next step should be?

Thank you very much for your replies
