xp service pack 3. (KB936929) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there guy's, i'm new to this forum and really don't have a clue when it comes to computers, i recently bought a fujitsu siemens computer from the classified ads, and i haven't had any real problems with it, it's just that i was sent a windows xp update today to install "windows service pack 3 (KB 936929)". i accepted the update, but when i started to install it, a notice appeared on the  update wizard, saying to "back up" files and to shut down all running programs, it was at this point i decided to cancel the installation just in case i damaged the computer. does anyone know if it is possible to have this update re-sent to my computer so when i learn how to save files, i can add this program. Thanks for bearing with me... Marc.
