Have a HP pavilion notebook. I re-installed Windows XP. Ok. Upgrade to XP professional again everything ok. Download updates and again ok. Download Service pack2/install and midway thru I get runtime errors and then just continious reboot. Sorry if in thread. Frustrated should be watching March Madness.

Would have been..submitted no-charge request for live chat..waited for email no notice...so I then checked on the status and it stated I had not requested a live chat..found other help on the net...thanks..

You may also consider self help options detailed below. Please visit the Discussions in Windows Update Forum located here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/reader.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&lang=en&cr=US and post what exactly is causing the problem. This forum specializes with WU problems.
