Remote Terminal Access Port Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • The standard ports for remote access are TCP80, TCP443, and TCP4125.  Unfortunately, I have another device that uses port forwarding that requires port 80 to be forwarded.  The router will not forward port 80 to two different devices.  Is there a way to change the HTTP port 80 requirement to, say, port 81?

  • Firstly, you don't need Port 4125 if you are using WHS2011and Port 80 is optional (for http access). You can just use Port 443 and access via https, although the wizard will tell you it's not working. You can also use another port instead (e.g. Port 8080), forward that in your router and access via http:// xxxx. Homeserver.com:8080
