Xamarin : system requirements RRS feed

  • Question

  • not sure where to post this,

I'm only just now getting started with Xamarin and have it downloaded into my Visual Studios IDE but its having difficulty running and telling me that the emulator will be torturously slow because I don't have an Intel processor.

Visual Studio's C# runs well, I use it all the time and don't have any  problems.

I took a screen shot of my Windows->Systems->About page

is there something I can download to make it run properly or does this mean my Xamarin hopes and dreams rest on a huge credit card bill and a new laptop?

my code is perfect until i don't find a bug

  • instead using emulator use physical device, that would be gives much more speed. Based in you emulator specification, system will going to slow or hang, my recommendation use physical device.

  • thanks.  I'll try that, except running in the device means I cannot use the debugger.

  • Hi Christ Kennedy,

    Thank you for posting here.

Since this thread is related to Xamarin, so I suggest that you can ask this question in Xamarin Community Forums.

The Visual C# forum discusses and asks questions about the C# programming language, IDE, libraries, samples, and tools.

    Best Regards,

    Timon
