Live meeting invitations "join the meeting" issue RRS feed

    Im trying to resolve a small isue with the live meeting invitation emails. when using some web mail clients such as gmail you cannot click on the "join the meeting" link. It highlighted blue just like a hyperlink but its unclickable. i know this is gmail doing this and not really a microsoft issue but im wondering has anyone else come across something similar and come up with a solution of workaround ?

    Hi,

     

    That's probabely because it's not a hyperlink gmail recognize. If you look at the "Join meeting" closer you will see something like:

     

    meet:sip:john.doe@pro-exchange.lab;gruu;opaque=app:conf:focus:id:ecc606c67c7445289400312effc810b0%3Fconf-key=zuI8OBpQY

     

    The first part that is bolded is what makes up the hyperlink and gmail simply doesn't understand what that would do and doesn't render the webpage approperiately? You could send a feature request to gmail to have them fix this, try posting this message on their forum as well:

    I am having a similar issue when i put the LiveMeeting link into my SharePoint pages...doesn't render like a true hyperlink.
