Need help with investment tracking RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an IRA investment account that I've been tracking - a single account - with no problems. Recently, we underwent a portfolio review, and that single account has now been exchanged from one fund into 9 different funds. I can't seem to figure out how to add these new funds and then exchange the money from my single fund into the 9 different ones.

    Any ideas?

    Using MS Money Plus Home & Business - as far as I know, the Sunset edition.

    Thanks for any help!

    Marie

  • Enter a Sell for the one fund and enter 9 Buys for the new funds

    If you can get your transactions as an OFX file, this could make the operation easy. Care to name the fund company? One of us may know what is available from that institution.

  • Sure - it's T Rowe Price. I had everything invested in the Retirement 2020 Fund and now it's been spread out to 9 different funds.

  • I don't find a clear indication that T Rowe Price will or will not be  accessible via PocketSense.

    https://www3.troweprice.com/rws/rps/public/assets/pdf/QuickenFAQs.pdf explains what has to happen at one end.

    GnuCash lists some data for its access, but that seems old. PocketSense and GnuCash use a similar access method.

    So anyway, while I did not find it, somebody else may have up to date info on that.

  • OK. I find T Rowe Price works with PocketSense. That's good. Here is a descriptor that can be added to sites.dat to tell Pocketsense how to get the info:

    <site>
         SiteName : T. Rowe Price
         AcctType : INVSTMT #investment
         fiorg : T. Rowe Price
         fid :
         url : https://www3.troweprice.com/ffs/ffsweb/OFXServlet
         bankid :
         brokerid : troweprice.com
         appid :
         appver :
         mininterval: 15
         timeOffset :
    </site>

    To download PocketSense and get instructions, here is the link: https://sites.google.com/site/pocketsense/home/msmoneyfixp1/p2

    This may be more than you want to try, but for those of us that use PocketSense, it is worthwhile. If you have some questions, let us know. For example, if preparing the sites.dat file is not easy, somebody could provide info to help with that.
