BSOD when running WGA RRS feed

  • Question

  • am getting a blue screen (http://user.web.com.na/michael/images/IMAGE_010.jpg) when trying to run the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation. (around 2 seconds after pressing the validate button. no popups or anything else happens before the blue screen) I am also getting this blue screen when trying to run the WGA Diagnostic tool.

After a reboot i get the following in Problem Report:

Follow these steps to solve the problem with a video device driver

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.

    Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

I have updated my Nvidia 7600GT cards graphics driver as well as disabled all visual settings, and I have decreased my resolution, but I still get the blue screen.

I have only had this blue screen when trying to run the WGA. No other software gave me this problem.
