I have inqury from client that i was not able to answer right away, and also informations over internet are inconclusive.
Basicly client have one DELL PE2950 server (2 proc, 32GB ram, 2xquad nic) that they use for virtualisation. Now they want to make high available solution with clustering in hyper-v. Since you cannot buy any more DELL PE2950 servers, they will go with new
DELL R710 server (2 proc, 32GB ram, 2xquad nic). SAN solution will be DELL MD3000i over iSCSI.
So my question is can this work. I know there are settings in Hyper-V R2 that you can say that other node will have diferent procesor, but what about other stuff? Chipset? Network card vendor? Family and stepping of processor? Graphic card? All other stuff
that is diferent between this 2 servers?
