  • the first thing is that this is not as bad as it seems jsut a pian inthe butt
the printer softwar on this machien has told the print spooler to stay on, there are 2 things you can do dump the printer software which wont leav eyou with a printer or
do this and please print this

    click on start,then run
    type this
    services.msc
hit enter and  a window appears with all the servidces onthe machien when you scroll down the alphebetical list you will find the print spooler right click and se4lect stop
it will take a minute and the n you should be able to do what you wnat other than print
to get it back on jsut reboot or if you need the printer do the same the only differencte is that now you right click the print spooler and select start spooler

the print spooler  take sall the info you need to print and holds it in memory  for the print job and the printer reads it as it prints the pages

in some printers not sur ewhat your is there is a way to print directly to the printer thereby bypassing the spooler entirely

    send this info to
    Tpneer2@hotmail.com
and I can send you info on how to set the printer software to do this for you

  • The print spooling service allows you to load the print jobs for later printing, ie to put them in the print queue.

How to start or stop the print spooler?

Double click Printers and faxes on the Control panel
Click your printer and select "set printer properties".
    Advanced tap
Select "Print directly to printer" click Apply and OK.

    Or

Right click on My Computer (Computer on Vista) and select Manage

In the console that opens, pull down the Services menu and applications

    Click on Services

Double-click on the Print Spooling key

In the "General" tab, go to Startup Type

Set the value to Automatic, Manual or Disabled

To enable or disable the print spooler service immediately, click Stop or Start

    Finally click Apply

    Hope this is helpful.
