RTCComponentService service account password change RRS feed

  • I cam across this today and wanted to share. If the RTCComponentService service account password changes for whatever reason, you need to not only change the password of the Audio/Video Conferencing service and the Web Conferencing service, but you also need to change it in IIS.

    • Open IIS and expand Application Pools.
    • Right-click LSGroupExpAppPool and click Properties.
    • Click the Identity tab and change the password, you will be prompted to confirm.

    If you don't do this, when people start Communicator they will be prompted for credentials for the corporate address book and it won't accept their password. The login box will come back over and over.
