  • The installed Key is a Volume License Key that has been Geo-Blocked.

The reason for this is usually that the Key has leaked and been abused, but the Keyowner for whatever reason doesn't want to have to re-Key all their machines, so opts to pay for the extra Keys need for the abuser. They then limit their exposure by requesting MS to block the Key outside their own area of operation.

If your machine is a company one - contact your System Admin for assistance, as they will have the proper tools and access to be able to fix the problem.

If your machine is a private one, then your installation is counterfeit, and you need to apply a legal Key or reformat and reinstall with genuine media and Key. For which version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?
