png format for pictures in Live Writer

When I copy text with pictures from Word 2007 to Live Writer, all pictures appear in png format.
Is there some way to get pasted pictures in jpg format?

The only real way would be to use my Clipboard plugin http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDetail.aspx?li=665e9d1b-ab5c-4772-80de-ac4e69d66dae&bt=9 but this would require you to have only the image in the clipboard, without text.
