  • If you drill into the underlying JavaScript of the button, the parameter to close the form is set to false. So that would make this behavior either by design or an oversight.

  • You might consider leaving feedback on the Connect site regarding this  behavior -  might prompt a change in a future update.

  • We used this to made some validation on form save. Can this be use for setting mentioned default parameter so that form to be closed?

    function SaveForm(context) {

        // Local variable to store value indicating how the save event was initiated by the user.
        var wod_SaveMode, wod_SaveEventVal;

        // Change the Save Event Value as per required Save Event
        // 58 = Save As Completed
        wod_SaveEventVal = 58;

        if (context != null && context.getEventArgs() != null) {

            wod_SaveMode = context.getEventArgs().getSaveMode();

            // 1 will pass on Recalculate button click
            if (wod_SaveMode == wod_SaveEventVal) {
                // Write your validation code here

                var thisResolution = Xrm.Page.data.entity.attributes.get("new_resolutionid").getValue();
                if (thisResolution == null) {

                    alert("Resolution is not specified!");

                    // Use the code line below only if validation is failed then abort function save event
                    context.getEventArgs().preventDefault();
                }
            }
        }

    }

    Hi Jason,

    Would you kindly indicate where the parameter is located exactly (which .js file)?

    We need to change this manually for our clients, while we wait for MS to fix it in next UR (I understand that this is NOT supported)

    Thanks

  • Ok, must be server and client, installed rollup 13 on client side and it hasn't resolved the issue.

  • We have same problem and have applied UR 13 - and issue persists.  Have others had it fixed by UR 13?

  • Did you apply rollup 13 on the server?  It wasn't until I did the server that this fixed it.
