  • Question

  • I'm running a genuine copy of Windows 7, purchased from Dell with the PC. This "error" about not running a genuine copy started when i tried to get a Windows 10 upgrade. In talking with Dell I've found that my computer is not upgradable (not sure if that's a word) and I'm fine staying with Windows 7 on this PC but I can't get the "error" message to stop.

  • How often are you getting the non-genuine message?  This report looks good to me.  It might be an overactive anti-virus program.  You should rerun the diagnostic when you are seeing the non-genuine message on screen and repost it here.

Please do not read this sentence. Please ignore the previous sentence.

  • The only problem I see in the report relates to the WAT update -

Please attempt validation using Internet Explorer at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate - it should pass.

If not, please post a new MGADiag report.
