Help with Windows Vista Ultimate RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed Windows Vista Ultimate on this laptop some time ago.  I wasn't happy with it so I re-installed the laptop's original Windows XP that came with it (meaning, the Vista was removed).  So, I decided to give it another try but I can NOT activate it this time.  I really want to avoid paying another user license because it is the same Upgrade software I am using on the same laptop.  What can I do?  Also, how do I free up my hard drive after install?  With Vista, it really chewed up my disk space on the hard drive.  Do I remove Windows.old or is there a program on the computer to tell it to free up my hard drive by removing everything that's old (previous Windows program that may still be on it?)?  HELP!!!!

After visiting, visiting, revisiting the Microsoft technical support and stuff, I began to realize how money hungry they are.  $59 for any help?  That's bogus!  I paid enough for the software and they want more money for this?

    Thanks in advance.
