When adding crm users, ad fields aren't populated RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've recently noticed when we try and add a crm user, the fields aren't being populated from AD with the relevant info. IE, phone, email Name etc.

Any ideas? How does it do this? Does it use reg keys, service etc?

    Cheers,

    Richard

  • Not sure how it does it LDAP perhaps? But I have found what it does not work for me I enter the new user in the format DOMAIN\UserName and then it populates the fields from AD.

    Hope that helps.

  • In addition to what David said, you can also try and add users via the "Multiple Users." This works for us here, we have multiple domains.

  • David,

    Thanks!

Let's call our domain abc.xyz, normally entering abc\username works. With CRM we have to enter abc.xyz.

    This fixed the issue.

    Thanks!
