  • I have 14 onecare backup discs from 2007 but no longer have onecare installed on my computer. When I insert one of the disc in the drive the window pops up telling me I have to install onecare again to be able to restore my files. I don't want to do that since I have another security program installed. How can I restore my files and not reinstall onecare? Is this possible?

  • You can copy the files from the CDs to your hard drive and then open them with a compression utility such as WinZip. Any files that were split into more than one part to be stored in separate zip files due to being a large size, will need to be rejoined. A free utility for this can be found here:
