CFG.ini WHS2011 setting a Workgroup Name RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can install and get WHS2011 on to my network with a CFG.ini on my HP EX495.  The one thing that is driving me nuts with this method is it defaults the workgroup to WORKGROUP by default.  Not usually a problem but when you attempt to change manually it breaks the WHS2011 dashboard users feature realted to the Certiication Authority Service.  Is there a way to add a workgroup= into the CFG.ini. I tried adding at the end of [InitialConfiguration] after Settings=all.

  • Search this forum if you really want to do that during installation. However, there is no reason, other than for cosmetic reasons, to change from "Workgroup".
