Networking: Can my server have multiple network adapters? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to use my home server as my router (internet gateway). Can I put two NICs (network cards) in my server and configure it as a NAT/router?

  • Windows Home Server is designed for households that already have a home network. By definition, this means that there is already a router/internet gatway in place.  Therefore Windows Home Server is not designed to be on the edge (e.g. a gateway, or multi-homed).

Only a single network adapter is supported.
