Strange behavior when merge marked thread to a unmarked thread RRS feed

  • Question

  • 1. There is a thread with a reply marked as answer by the OP. Suppose it as thread A .

    2. There is another duplicate thread with none reply as answer. Suppose it as thread B.

    3. When merge thread A onto thread B, the reply which has been marked doesn't show up after the question. Also, the "Mark as answer" tag appears while the description in step 1 --"marked by ***"-- still existing.

Is this a issue or we are not expected to merge a marked thread to an unmarked thread?

    Thanks for your reading.

  • Yes, when the two threads are merged, the previous answers will disappear. The message ' mark as answer' will remain, but the green mark will be gone.
