Microsoft failing as Identity Provider

    Question

  • I have an application that uses Microsoft as the identity provider.  A few days ago it did this for awhile and eventually started working again.  Now it's doing it again tonight.  I successfully sign into Microsoft but then it directs to a page that says "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."  Base url of that page is https://login.live.com/oauth20_authorize.srf?client_id=

  • I see that error at different times usually centered around forums authentication or general MSDN / TechNet content browsing. I think that's about the most unhelpful message they have ever come up with. Yes, you can open a ticket via this channel.

  • Hi Scott,

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.

Since this forum is discussing about the .Net Framework Setup and Servicing, as your question is more related to the URL identity provider, I will help you move this case to other forum for the right direction.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

  • Thanks Dave.  I'll look through that again.  It keeps happening.  Some days it gives me the error and then later that day it'll start letting me in, with no changes/deployments whatsoever on my end.  If I need to open a ticket with Microsoft, is there a way to do that?
