    In my enviornment i have 2 custom entities  wiht N:1 Relation Once I clicks on the sub-grid of choice contract on the supplier form, the user still gets the contract records instead of choice contract record. whether this is by design or the settings in sub grid set properties is incorrect?

    It is not by design. There might be some issue with the properties.

    Change the view of the subgrid to related.
