SyncToy 2.1 Announced and Sent via MS Downloads E-mail - Links Do Not Work RRS feed

  • Question

  • This blog has a reference at the top that SyncToy 2.1 is available as does the latest MS monthly Downloads Notification E-mail.  Click the link and you can read about it, but when you select either Download button it can neither be saved or opened ... says the page cannot be displayed ...

  • I had the same issue five minutes ago: both x64 and x86 downloads are not working now on microsoft's official download page for SyncToy 2.1 when i used firefox 3.6 beta 2 and internet explorer with chrome frame. I ran internet explorer 8 with addons disabled (including google chrome frame) and the download worked fine after that. Seems like the download process only works with internet explorer's browser engine. Hope that helps! :)

  • Me too.

    I didn't manage to download x86 version.

Firefox can't find the file at http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/c/4/6c406239-a648-4e01-833e-2c452deed3b6/SyncToySetupPackage_v21_x86.exe.

    Please advice. Thanks in advance.

  • After clicking about 5 separate times on the x64 download button last night, I was able to get it. Didn't keep trying with the x86 version.
