    Question

  • Today, I noticed that a company called wu-lilia.com from Taipie City, Taiwan with host server Contact Privacy Inc. Customer 0126702367, 96 Mowat Ave, Toronto, On M6K 3M1, Canada had used my email account waltz11@live.com to send spam to people in my address book yesterday, 9/5/2011. Do I need to let Microsoft know and if so how? Do I need to create a new email account or can I do something to keep this compnay form sending more spam? Should I contact those in my address book to let them know that this email was not from me? Thanks for your help.

  • Most likely the company you are mentioning is not using your email address to send spam. What might be hapenning is that you got a virus, spyware or adware which is doing this. Look into your sent folder and take a look to the time the emails were sent and if they match the exact time when you were using your computer then voila, you got a virus.
