Alert not sent

  I have not experienced any issues with Alerts not working.  Have you checked on your alert settings to make sure they are set correctly?  You can do that here:  http://alerts.live.com/Alerts/MyAlerts.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0
  
  Also, are you receiving alerts for any other posts you may have ask for alerts on?

  Hi Alicia,
  
  Alert settings seem to be OK, my Hotmail account is listed. But nothing is recieved, not even to the junk mail folder.
  
  Edit: saw a 'Windows Live Alert' in the left bottom corner of my screen when I posted this. But I suppose this was embedded in this web page, isn't it?
  
  Edit2: I just received a e-mail alert. Of course it's a bit silly to receive an alert of my own reply, but still... Problem seems to be fixed.

  Hi,

  I'm getting the same issues. I have not receiving alerts either. For example, I have not received alerts for answers/posts in the following post http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010programming/thread/52d77674-9068-4828-b494-b7e6300f9731 . I had found the same issue few months ago. And this is happening again. It's difficult to come to forum and look manually for updates.

  I have lots of alerts on lots of threads in the pre-2010 SharePoint forums.

  Typically I have got anything from 2 to 10 alerts every time I have opened Hotmail (several times a day).

  For the past several days, however, there have been no alerts at all. It seems very unlikely considering that I have been marking as many threads as usual Alert so I too suspect something bad is going on.

  2010 Books: SPF 2010; SPS 2010; SPD 2010; InfoPath 2010; Workflow etc.
  2007 Books: WSS 3.0; MOSS 2007; SPD 2007; InfoPath 2007; PerformancePoint; SSRS; Workflow
  Both lists also include books in French; German; Spanish with even more languages in the 2007 list.

  Hi there,

  +1 here. Since a few days I do not receive any alerts. I just checked "My Threads" and there were a lot of answers to my threads so yes, I'm sure that I should have received a lot of alerts.
