cannot enter product key

    i am a novice senior computer user and have purchased today a copy of auto collage 2008  the second time!  i installed the program correctly and have made a collage and saved it and got the water mark I tried following the instructions to enter the product key but it will not let me enter the letters or numbers in the the boxes. please advise of my mistake. i have a new computer with windows 7 home premium installed and i have had no other problems entering information .thank you
