I haven't had a problem with the latest round of .NET updates. However, if you DO have one, here's what I'd try:
1) download the update manually--use the links in the windows update history to find a manual download--save to the desktop, and double click to install.
2) if that also fails, uninstall the relevant .net version and any updates to it, then reinstall--best to go out and download all the pieces before you uninstall. Re-run Windows Update to be sure you got all the updates.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem simply. I have seen alot of complaints about this and from what I can tell it looks like a botched attempt by MS on the update front. Is there a fix from MS that anyone knows of?
