  • Can you explain what you mean by it has been canceled? Do you mean that you original subscription expired? Did you renew online or did you purchase another retail copy?

  • My orginal subscription expired. I purchased another Windows Live OneCare online. Now

  • You renewed or bought a retail copy?

First of all, go to http://billing.microsoft.com and verify your subscription status, if you renewed.

Then, download the cleanup tool -

After you have run the tool and rebooted, install OneCare from http://onecare.live.com

Activate with the LiveID for you *active* subscription. If you have a new retail copy, activate with a *new* LiveID to create a new subscription. You can create a new LiveID at http://account.live.com

  • I ran the Windows Live OneCare cleanup tool. Please explain how do I download Windows Live OneCare

without making another purchase. I already paid 49.99 Febuary 1, 2008. I have the bank

statement. It does appear in my account as paid. I did not purchase the product from a retail

store. This is so very frustrating. Why should I have to pay again.

If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated on the first computer, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations. If you are arriving at a screen to purchase or provide a token, you are likely not using the same LiveID as the subscription ID.

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

How to reach support (FAQ) - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate the reinstall.
