Windows Recovery Error

Question
-
I reinstalled the Vista 32 bit software for my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop in safemode thinking I would be able to reboot (because it would only open in safemode) and open in normal state. Now once booted nothing happens just a blank screen. I did the BIOs change to start in DVD. I may have forgotten to enter my product key for windows. Would that make all this happen?
What is the next step once booted from cd/dvd drive?. the onscreen message is;
A RAMDISK drive is available for this boot cycle as C:
It contains several Hard Drive setup tools. Please use these tools only under the direction of Dell Support Staff.

Hello simply lost,

I have been using windows vista from past 6 months and i’m still not used to it. I moment I switch on my pc it asks me for a genuine windows validation and it pops up every 15 min. suddenly I clicked on it and suddenly my pc turned off and I lost some of my files that I have been working on. I have discussed about this problem with my colleague and he suggested my to use the software to recover deleted files windows xp and I’m glad to say that I have recovered those files.Friday, December 10, 2010 12:13 PM

Please repost your problems to a NEW thread, and include an MGADiag report (more later)The WGA process is designed not to interfere with any data files - so you have another problem with your PC, quite apart from the WGA problems you are experiencing.I suggest that you run CHKDSK C: /F from an Elevated Command Prompt - it will ask for confirmation that you want to run the check at the next boot, so say yes, and reboot.Once that's done, reboot, and then follow the advice below.To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
