Did Microsoft change the spamfilter?

    Question

  • Since one or two months, I am receiving a lot more emails in my spambox which should not be in there. This includes responses for job applications, bills (and reminders) and even an email send from my parents address it now sees as spam. Especially emails that carry an appendix seem to be targeted. This is problematic since before this problem came to be, I did not have the habit of frequently checking my spam box for emails (since this wasn't an issue).

Did Microsoft change anything in the spam filter of the windows live mail? If so, is there a way to change this back or let Microsoft know that this is not an improvement?

  • If junk mail is being delivered to the inbox, the usual remedy is to repair the installation. With all programs closed, type wlarpinto the start search box and press Enter. On the page that opens, select the repair option. When it's finished, reboot the computer, launch Windows Live Mail and test.

  • Can it be fixed without a reboot? I have a weird problem with my PC when I'm trying to reboot. It just goes in "Greetings" mode and then it doesn't turn off. Some suggestions?
