Right now your computer has a Volume Licensing installation of Office 2003 Professional installed, but this installation was done with a now-blocked Volume Licensing Key (VLK).  Microsoft blocks VLKs when the key has been lost, stolen, compromised, or when the associated Volume Licensing Agreement is no longer in effect, or if otherwise misappropriated for software piracy reasons.

You also have an unactivated installation of Office Professional 2003 that is a retail license for Office.

Additionally, I noticed that the remaining Office 2003 programs installed on the computer (Visio Professional 200, One Note 2003, and Front Page 2003) are all Volume Licensing editions of these programs.  Having this many Office volume licensing programs installed would lead me to believe that you may be using these programs because of your association with a larger business, educational, or governmental organization.  If so, please contact the tech support people within the organization to have them help you with correcting the Blocked VLK situation.

If your use of these programs is not associated with a larger business, educational, or governmental organization, and you purchased these programs thinking that they were retail licenses for these programs to be sold to individual consumers, it is likely that you are a victim of software piracy or counterfeiting.  If this is the case, then the simplest way to Get Genuine would be to uninstall all five programs restart twice, visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on Validate Office to clear the OGA Notifications cache, restart once more, and then install the retail license that you have for Office 2003 Pro.

Please let us know your means of acquisition and usage scenario so we can point you in the right direction.

  • Hello Mado1950,

Looking at your pictures, I see what are Microsoft Volume Licensing installation CDs for Office Pro 2003, Front Page 2003 and Outlook with Business Contact Manager.

Unfortunately, you purchased CDs and Product Keys, but you did not purchase a license to use them, because these are Volume Licensed products that are to be licensed to businesses, educational instituitons, and governmental agencies that need many many copies of Office.  As it says on each of the CDs on the left side, these are not for retail or OEM distribution, and as it says on each of the CDs on the right side, the usage of these CDs is subject to the provisions of a Volume License agreement.

You did not show the CDs for Visio and for One Note, but since they too are Volume License installations it's very likely that the same thing applies.

Your computer does have an unactivated installation of a retail license for Office 2003 Professional, shown in the report as this:
Microsoft Office Professional Editie 2003 - 101 Not Activated

Do you have another Office 2003 CD with another product key that came in a regular nice pretty retail box?  If so, that license for Office is probably OK so you could install that and still be able to use Office legitimately.

  • Hello Mado1950,

Would it be possible to take a digital snapshot of ALL of your CDs and post them somewhere where we can see them?

Do they all have a silkscreen colored area in the upper right quadrant like the ones on this page?  http://www.microsoft.com/howtotell/product.aspx?pID=ee959bd8-14b4-4601-91a7-eea1043249fa&cID=fab9617a-57ff-4789-9397-6dac071b19b0&method=volume&displaylang=en

  • Of Course, I have made four photographs, with the casing and the serials.
As you can see they are a bit like a hologram and look very very real to me! Also Slim! is a very respected firm in the Netherlands, they wouldn't fool anyone!
    I have posted the CD's.
Just change the last numbers before the .jpg into 002, 003 and 004
    Hope you can help!

  • II will try to make a new fresh install of my Office 2003.
I still dont understand how this has happened.
As far as I know these are my only CD's and yes, they are all the same (volume copy's as you call them).
In The Netherlands you can buy them when you are working in a school, as I am from a firm which is called Slim!
All my CD's are indeed the same. We'll see what happens after the new clean install.
