Scanning paper form to create new records in CRM & Scanning documents to load against account in CRM RRS feed

  • We have purchased Microsoft Dynamics and would like these two functionalities

    1. At recruiting events, send paper inquiry form straight into MS Dynamics, creating a new account

    2. Scan a paper document that would be sent to the CRM and matched up with the corresponding account

  • So CRM has nothing native here.  You're going to need scanning software that does OCR to create some kind of information that can be interpreted.  Unless you have an extremely high volume of documents to enter, it's almost certainly going to be cheaper just to hire data entry people to do this.  And even if you do get the scanners up, you're still going to need someone to audit the information due to OCR errors.

    Alternately, move away from paper forms wherever possible in your business.  Web forms creating things like Accounts in CRM is a solved problem, whereas anything to do with paper forms isn't, as there is no enforced standard of "a paper form".
