    Hey all, my boss just asked me to create some reports - we are a large bank. In the report would be data from 10 - 12 entities, charts, lists etc. Does anyone know which I should select? Anyone have a comparison link?

    Hi,

     Comparing these two, it is better to use SSRS. It has advantages, such as online data, full customization and compatibility with environment. But, as you know creating charts, tables, defining themes and maintenance is very hard. I think it is better to use a dashboard tool which connects to CRM database. There are lots of 3rd party solutions for this purpose. You could easily define charts with just a few clicks, as well as pivot tables, time charts and .... As my experience, I have used qlikview and klipfolio, and find qlikview an excellent solution for reporting, dashboards and data mining.

    Hi,

    If you have a lot of data and want to Query 10-12 tables you might want to consider the performance impact if you want to run it on live data. It might be wise to Schedule a job during the night and create a snapshot of the report. That way you won't have live data of course so if that's a requirement it isn't an option but something you should consider at least
