  • According to your report you are licensed. Any notification may have been intermittant. Let us know if it reoccurs.

The PID for windows professional on your computer is indicative of an MSDN/TN key, if you are a subscriber this is not a problem however MSDN/TN keys are not available for retail sale and if you purchased this key outside of a TN/MSDN subscription then it will undoubtedly become blocked in the future.

If you are not a TN/MSDN subscriber please review the following sticky.

    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/genuinewindows7/thread/a2444f34-0aff-4f29-a8ac-67e28b0c0285

    Windows Product ID: 00371-220-4912912-86039

The bold -220- portion is what I am refering to.

    Wednesday, November 10, 2010 11:22 PM
  • What am I supposed to do exactly?

Restart my computer and it will go away?

I don't know what the abbrv. stand for.

  • See the sticky http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindows7/thread/a2444f34-0aff-4f29-a8ac-67e28b0c0285. The part "220" of your PID "00371-220-4912912-86039" indicates that's a MSDN/TechNet key, and if you aren't a subscriber, you are not allowed to use this key. Many of those keys (that are "not for resale") are offered illegally at common auction sites (eBay, amazon marketplace...) and will be invalidated if the amount available to subscribers is overrun.

  • Ohh, I see.

    Well, I am a subscriber.

Do I just go to that sticky and type in my key or what?

Lol i'm confused on how to fix this

Please go to the Validation site, and attempt to Validate Windows - if it fails, please make a note of the message, and attempt any solution it presents. Reboot
Then run the MGADiag tool again, and if it still reports as non-genuine, and there is a button that says 'Fix it/repair' (can't remember the exact phrase) then use that and se if that fixes it - reboot and run MGADiag again, and post the result back here

  • Well, if you are a subscriber, here's the wrong place to answer your question. Ask the MSDN or TechNet support. Maybe you've exceeded the number of keys assigned to you, maybe one key was used to many times... all these are questions that can only be answered by the subscription sites.

  • According to your report there is nothing wrong, visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and attempt to validate, if it passes and you get no further notifications then all is well. If you get any future notifications take a report immediately and post it here.

There is a definite problem - the Validation reports as '50'

That#s why I asked him to go to the validation site and cross-check.

What error message did you get?
What happened when you tried the diagnostics tool?
Please run the MGADiag again, it may show a repair option - if so, then use it, and see if it helps, then run it again after a reboot.
Please then post the MGADiag report again - things may have changed.

  • I agree with Noel.

However, if you are able to resolve the issue thru support, please try to come back and tell us how you were able to fix the issue.  this may help us better assist future users (with a similar issue) without having to send them to phone support.

  • Windows suddenly made a change, "Restore" to a previous Restore Point. This will revert all Windows settings and revert registry changes. (For what ever reason perhaps through patch, reset, or corrupt files OR ALL ur not genuine any more.) Sorry No one helped ya.

    Try this

At start of Windows load screen press F8, Select the Repair option.

Get real, Akmo.  The software is never registered.  Registration applies to the user.  The user registers or not at his discretion.  Microsoft does NOT link registration and product activations.  The one cannot affect the other.
