OCS 2007 R2 - External to Internal Calls and vice versa RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am try to make external to internal calls and vice versa with no luck. I have also tried desktop sharing and that isn't working either. So here is my situation:

We are migrating from OCS 2007 to OCS 2007 R2. I still have the legacy pool and edge server in place. The new environment consists of the SQL Back-End, Archiving Server, Web-Access Server, Front-End and the Edge Server.

Testing with 2 accounts both on the new system and pointing correctly to the system internally and externally. I can IM but no luck with voice or desktop sharing.

Any help would be appreciated, I am quickly approaching a deadline!

  • In OCS R2 Desktop Sharing Uses RTP/(RDP For Web Access Users) as AV. In OCS R2 you dont need any Public IP for AV to work from Internet. Check if you have 3478 UDP and 443 TCP(Default) opened from Internet to Edge server. I have seen most of A/V issues happens because of bad routing between your AV Edge and Internal network or with ports. Please look in to the followinf Diagram for OCS R2 port requirement. Hope this Helps.
