When I try to download a template in Word it says I do not have a genuine copy. When I continue to resolve it says that Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 is not genuine. I should have office 2007. This is a brand new computer from Dell. Thanks, Amy

Moved byStephen HolmFriday, February 13, 2009 6:28 PMAmy, I am moving your thread to the Vista Forum. Stephen (Moved from Windows XP Genuine Advantage Validation Issues (Windows XP) to Windows Vista Validation Issues (Windows Vista))
Your new Dell XPS M1530 is currently running a genuine Dell OEM installation of Windows Vista Home Premium, so there is no concern regarding your Vista installation.
However, if you have look at this extract from your report, you can see the cause of the problem with Templates:
Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2 Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2 Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 Genuine
Your computer has an installation of Office 2003 that was installed with a Blocked Volume Licensing Key. In order to complete validation and use the templates you downloaded, you will have to Uninstall this nongenuine installation of Office 2003. Restart after uninstalling and try to download, validate, and install your desired Templates.
